“I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center because I heard wonderful things about their experienced staff.”

I have suffered with mid and low back pain for many years that had progressively worsened over the last 6 months.  The pain was continual and greatly affected my life.  It limited my ability to perform daily tasks.  I went to my primary care physician, Dr. Kelly Dumm, and she referred me to physical therapy.

I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center because I heard wonderful things about their experienced staff.  I could not have asked for a better experience.  The staff was knowledgeable, qualified, and provided friendly and kind care.  Everything from billing to the treatment given was thoroughly explained.
I am now able to move without pain.  My posture has greatly improved as well.  I would highly recommend TPTC to anyone seeking PT.

“Therapy inspired me to maintain my current functional abilities so I don’t have to be seen with my walker ever again.”

In April of 2017, I moved to West Virginia from living in Wisconsin my whole life. My mobility had been deteriorating for nearly 5 years even after having a right total hip arthroplasty. I was having greater difficulty performing daily tasks independently at home and I knew I need help and something had to be done. After meeting with my Primary Care Physician Dr. Harris, he recommended I seek physical therapy to improve my condition.

Upon Dr. Harris’ recommendation, I chose to perform my physical therapy at Teays Physical Therapy Center. My therapist, Marcus Reynolds, devised a well-planned rehabilitation program that helped me realize how exercise is one of the best types of medicine we can be prescribed. The staff, from the front desk to the clinical staff was motivating and cheerful along the way. For the first time in nearly five years, I am able to walk without my walker and don’t struggle to perform daily tasks.

I would highly recommend TPTC to anyone who wants to perform physical therapy or stay fit with their fitness program. Therapy inspired me to maintain my current functional abilities so I don’t have to be seen with my walker ever again. After I was discharged from physical therapy I decided to become a fitness member so I can see the staff’s smiling faces every week. I wish I could have come here sooner, and recommend other’s seek treatment right away and not wait like I did. I would not hesitate to recommend TPTC to my friends and family if they need physical therapy services.

"There is no better place than TPTC.  You are not only treated as a patient but as a person."

While playing baseball for Shepherd University, I dove for a ball and landed on my shoulder causing a bony Bankart lesion that required surgery.  Dr. Manuel Molina performed my surgery, and I chose to do my rehabilitation at Teays Physical Therapy Center because of its reputation.

Before therapy, I could hardly lift my arm.  I was sore, weak, and had no mobility.  Gradually, I began to notice an improvement in these areas. I became able to reach higher for objects and to wash my hair and back.  I was then able to get back into my physical training routine. Physical therapy helped me gain the confidence that I could return to the way I was before.

My experience at TPTC was extremely beneficial as I started with the basics to get my strength back.  It taught me to be patient which was much easier with the positive support of Rebecca and the rest of the staff.  I truly felt as though I got better physically and emotionally every single visit.  I have grown in aspects of my life I was lacking in prior to being a patient at TPTC. Ultimately, I feel accomplished and ready to get back to the baseball season where I can use this as motivation for my future growth as an athlete.

There is no better place than TPTC.  You are not only treated as a patient but as a person. The staff makes what is a negative experience a positive one.  Also, the information given is of great value and can be used to progress yourself on your own time.  It is a place where the staff wants you to get better and helps you do that in a positive way.

"I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center for rehabilitation because my mother went there many years ago and they did a good job with her."

I was referred to physical therapy by my family physician, Dr. Snyder.  At that time, weakness of my legs prevented me from climbing stairs or walking very much. The therapists and assistants were very patient with me. Now I can walk without my cane or walker, climb stairs, bend over to pick things up and my balance is improving.

I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center for rehabilitation because my mother went there many years ago and they did a good job with her. After my personal experience at TPTC, I would tell others how understanding the staff is and how they take their time with you. I highly recommend everyone who needs physical therapy to go to TPTC!

"I chose to return for treatment of my elbow because the excellent physical therapists and friendly, knowledgeable employees provide great care.”

In April I suffered an ulna stress fracture in my pitching arm.  My arm was placed in a brace locked at a 90-degree angle for 8 weeks.  Dr. Giangarra referred me to physical therapy to work on my range of motion and strength.

I had previously received treatment at Teays Physical Therapy Center for my back.  I chose to return for treatment of my elbow because of the excellent physical therapists and friendly, knowledgeable employees provide great care. I’m not fully finished with my recovery, but this was the best experience you could ask for when it comes to physical therapy. The entire staff was great.

Now I can straighten and move my arm without pain and stiffness.  I highly recommend Teays Physical Therapy Center to all my family and friends.  I had an excellent experience and outcome.  I am moving on to continue my rehabilitation and start training with the Boston Red Sox.

I chose to perform my physical therapy rehabilitation at Teays Physical Therapy Center because of their history of commitment to the residents of Putnam County and the great reputation they have built in our community.

In April 2017, I had left total knee arthroplasty by Dr. Clark Adkins.   I suffered from knee pain for nearly 40 years. Before my surgery I was having greater difficulty performing everyday tasks, exercising, and riding my motorcycle. After careful consideration and advice from my doctor, the surgery was completed and I started outpatient physical therapy.

I chose to perform my physical therapy rehabilitation at Teays Physical Therapy Center because of their history of commitment to the residents of Putnam County and the great reputation they have built in our community. My therapist, Marcus Reynolds, devised a well-planned rehab program that helped me improve my knee range of motion and strength to get me back to everyday tasks that had been difficult. Now that I’m back on my feet I plan to become active again. I look forward to getting back on my motorcycle for many more rides on the open road.

I would highly recommend TPTC to anyone who needs physical therapy or wants to stay fit with their fitness program.  My therapy was a positive experience. The staff was very knowledgeable, informative, and friendly every step of the way.  I would not hesitate to recommend TPTC for my friends and family.

Cindy and the other therapists worked hard with all their patients in a wholesome and friendly atmosphere.

I injured my shoulder and it was close to a year before I had an MRI that showed my problem.  Dr. Cox performed surgery for a torn labrum and discovered I had severe arthritis.  I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center for my rehabilitation because I have known Cindy Skiles for years dating back to when I was a football coach at Hurricane High School and sent my athletes to physical therapy.  I consider TPTC to be the best around.

Cindy and the other therapists worked hard with all their patients in a wholesome and friendly atmosphere.  From the first day everyone treated me with a “smile” and a “good morning”.  I went from somebody who could not lift a doughnut to someone working out at the gym with rapid improvement.  I was always ahead of schedule and I attribute that to Cindy and her staff.  I can once again do pushups, pullups, push presses, and lots of other different weighted exercises.  I would tell my friends and family members to go to TPTC, they are the best around.

“I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center due to my past experiences as a former patient and its close vicinity to my home.”

In February of 2016 I had a fall while boarding a cruise ship for the Caribbean. The fall resulted in multiple surgeries to repair a fractured femur. While I had to perform physical therapy in the hospital I had great difficulty being able to walk or perform the simplest of every day tasks. Finally after weeks in the hospital I was able to go home and start physical therapy at Teays Physical Therapy Center.

I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center due to my past experiences as a former patient and its close vicinity to my home. My therapist, Marcus Reynolds, put me through a well-planned rehabilitation program that helped me to walk again and perform tasks I haven’t been able to perform in months. At the end of therapy I was sad to graduate, but I felt accomplished with what I had achieved. I can finally clean my home, prepare meals, and help my husband for a change. Now I’m looking forward to finally enjoying my vacation cruise in the Caribbean.

I would highly recommend TPTC to anyone who wants to perform physical therapy or be proactive about his or her fitness. The staff is fantastic, kind, and considerate to meet your needs as a patient. The best part about therapy was that they made therapy fun every visit. The whole staff from the therapists, the assistants, to the clerical staff provided outstanding care and service every step of the way.

“My son has struggled with Osgood Schlatter’s syndrome, and with the training regime, he has greatly improved.”

We came to Potential Plus for the individualized, expert training to increase performance and decrease risk of injury. We love it here. The strength coaches are experts in their field, and great with kids and young athletes. They emphasize proper form and have a systematic plan for development and improvement. They use a specific plan to overcome different issues and  weaknesses by properly progressing the athletes and children.

My son has struggled with Osgood Schlatter’s syndrome, and with the training regime, he has greatly improved. He also plays with a travel soccer team and has not missed any games due to Osgood Slaughters. My daughter and I have also improved our muscle tone and increased our fitness and energy levels.

A friend recommended Potential Plus to us, and we would absolutely recommend it to other families with children and athletes. Fitness will impact all areas of life, not just for sports. It can help with your mental attitude as well as with academics.

"After two weeks I walked with no assistance and at 6 weeks my doctor was ecstatic with my progress."

I had a total knee replacement on February 1, 2017 by Dr. Oliashirazi.  I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center for my post-op rehabilitation because they are local, convenient, and have excellent therapists and assistants.  Before surgery I told Cindy, my therapist, I wanted to be pushed to exceed all expectations.  After two weeks I walked with no assistance and at 6 weeks my doctor was ecstatic with my progress.  He said I was way ahead of the game.  Cindy and her team made it possible.  I am back to work and doing everything I need to do to care for myself.

Cindy and her team are the best.  They are with you to be sure you meet and surpass your goals and expectations.  I would tell my family and friends they are the perfect option for physical therapy.

"I chose TPTC for my rehabilitation because I like their professional attitude, caring, and hands-on approach given by each therapist."

I had a hip replacement on 02-01-17 by Dr. Philip Surface and needed physical therapy to help me recover.

I chose TPTC for my rehabilitation because I like their professional attitude, caring, and hands-on approach given by each therapist.

This has been my second joint replacement I have rehabilitated at TPTC.  I always leave therapy sessions feeling better and knowing that their expertise has greatly improved my mobility.  I can now walk hands-free without a walker or cane, and I have a greater range of motion in my hip.

I have highly recommended TPTC to several friends.  I have also brought my own son here for treatment.  They treat each case individually.  Being a former coach and certified trainer, I can state with conviction that “they know what they are doing.

"At Teays Physical Therapy Center everyone has a positive attitude and cares about solving your problem."

I have had a three year history of right shoulder pain.  Drs. Thomas Scott and Adam Dann at Scott Orthopedic Center referred me to physical therapy. I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center not only because of proximity to my home or my affiliation with their Revved Up Crossfit program, but also because of their reputation.

At Teays Physical Therapy Center everyone has a positive attitude and cares about solving your problem.  Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable and understood exactly what to do to train away the pain.  My shoulder pain was reduced by 80%.  Prior to starting therapy my shoulder would hurt so bad it would keep me awake.  It’s great to be able to rest again.

I highly recommend TPTC. They are caring and have the knowledge and tools to address your pain and discomfort.

"After ten sessions with Todd and the assistants, the problem was resolved and I no longer have pain."

I began to have pain in my left hip and buttock about 5 months ago.  Although, I had tried different resources and treatments, I could get no relief.

I was referred by Dr. Holmes to Teays Physical Therapy Center in Teays Valley.  Physical therapist Todd Warner determined that the pain was not coming from the hip, but from the low back.  After ten sessions with Todd and the assistants, the problem was resolved and I no longer have pain.

I highly recommend Teays Physical Therapy Center!

"When I first began therapy a week and a half after surgery, I walked in scared to death, my face was white, and I felt sick to my stomach."

A fall on my treadmill two years ago contributed to a knee problem that resulted in having a total knee replacement surgery in December 2016 by Dr. John Pierson.  I needed physical therapy to help me recover from the surgery, and I chose TPTC because of their reputation, location, and convenience.

When I first began therapy a week and a half after surgery, I walked in scared to death, my face was white, and I felt sick to my stomach.  I really did not know what to expect.  After my initial visit, I was calm, happy, and relieved.

Activities I can do now that I could not do prior to therapy include walking without pain.  I am gaining confidence in my knee and in myself now that I am able to walk without pain and a limp.

I would tell my family and friends needing therapy to have faith in your therapist at TPTC because they are committed to you and getting you back to your life.  After my first visit with TPTC in St. Albans they made me feel relaxed, encouraged me, pushed me, guided me, and worked me.  When I go to therapy I feel I improve each time.  There is never a frown, and this always makes me feel ready to work when I walk in the door, even if I’m not at my best.

"I was very nervous starting therapy after my operation, but the friendly smiles and encouragement the TPTC staff provided helped me tremendously. "

In February of 2016 I had an unfortunate skiing accident that resulted in a severe knee injury. Soon after my surgeries to repair a torn ACL, MCL, PCL, and dislocated knee joint, I started the long road of physical therapy at Teays Physical Therapy. My surgeon, Dr. Browning, highly recommended TPTC for my rehabilitation.

I was very nervous starting therapy after my operation, but the friendly smiles and encouragement the TPTC staff provided helped me tremendously. I was always greeted at the door  with warm and friendly smiles, and that continued with my therapy. My therapist, Marcus Reynolds, made my husband and I very comfortable and welcomed, and really made the injury easier to handle.

I would highly recommend TPTC to anyone and everyone. The staff is very professional, on time, and keeps you moving toward your goals. The therapists and doctors stay in constant contact and make sure everyone is on the same page. When I hit a milestone, everyone at the facility was part of the excitement. They made therapy fun and gave me something to look forward to in my recovery.

"I am now walking a mile on my treadmill and have returned to woodworking and re-modeling parts of my house."

I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center for my rehabilitation following my knee surgery for a torn meniscus.  My wife had been there in 2012 and we were familiar with the facility.  During my therapy, I felt the staff was qualified, well trained, and very caring.  They made me feel comfortable and were  dedicated to my well-being and recovery.

I am now walking a mile on my treadmill and have returned to woodworking and re-modeling parts of my house.  Once again I am able to use my heavy equipment for excavating and helping out my neighbors.  I would definitely recommend Teays Physical Therapy Center because they are absolutely the very best people.

“I always felt really welcome by everyone working there.”

I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center as my care provider because I had participated in therapy here before and had excellent care.  The therapists showed that they cared about me and that I mattered to them.  I always felt really welcome by everyone working there.  I have always had excellent results from the treatment they performed on me.  As a result of therapy, I no longer experience constant low back pain and I am able to sleep better at night.  I would highly recommend TPTC to any of my family or friends because the results can easily be seen and felt.

“Rebecca O’Dell developed a therapy program that addressed my issues. Just after a few weeks of therapy I began to feel and do so much better. ”

After spending a week visiting with my son, an occupational therapist, he expressed his concern with the difficulty I was having with mobility and chronic joint pain due to arthritis.  He encouraged me to go to physical therapy and I was recommended by Dr. David Life to choose Teays Physical Therapy Center.

Rebecca O’Dell developed a therapy program that addressed my issues. Just after a few weeks of therapy I began to feel and do so much better.  Not only am I more mobile, but my body is more flexible and I am able to do so much more.  I have been able to participate in yardwork this fall and to help move furniture around the house while it was being painted.

I would highly recommend TPTC.  The staff is very professional.  They are encouraging and helpful in addressing all of your needs.

JoAnn plans to continue improving on her functional gains by transitioning to our independent clinic fitness program GetFit.

“After 6 months I regained full use of my shoulder thanks to the kind, respectful and dedicated staff at TPTC. ”

After non-invasive treatments failed, it was determined that I would need surgery to repair my rotator cuff by Dr. Chad Lavender.  I am very active and wanted to be 100%.  After surgery, the real work began.

I could not have asked for a better therapist than Rebecca.  She is professional, approachable, knowledgeable, an excellent listener, and has a great sense of humor.  She kept me motivated and the whole staff were my cheerleaders.

After 6 months I regained full use of my shoulder thanks to the kind, respectful and dedicated staff at TPTC.  Cindy Skiles, owner, checked in on me regularly and the front office worked around my work schedule in Charleston for late afternoon appointments.  Saying goodbye was like leaving my family.

I would tell my family and friends that I highly recommend TPTC without reservation.  You will be in excellent and loving hands.

“I was extremely pleased with the care and treatment I received during my physical therapy”

I had an ongoing foot problem that required surgery.  Dr. Kevin Brown repaired my Haglund Deformity and Achilles tendon.  When it was time for my rehabilitation a current patient and my co-worker recommended I choose Teays Physical Therapy Center.

I was extremely pleased with the care and treatment I received during my physical therapy. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, compassionate, but assertive when necessary.  I would not be at this stage of recovery without TPTC’s assistance.

TPTC will provide you with sound therapy from a wealth of knowledge and expertise to overcome your injury returning you to the quality of life you lost from your injury.

“Because of physical therapy I can do things now that I haven’t done in 40 years. ”

Dr. Michael Robie referred me to physical therapy because I was experiencing weakness in my arms, back, and legs which was affecting my ability to get around. I chose to come to Teays Physical Therapy Center.  After only two treatments I could tell a difference.

Because of physical therapy I can do things now that I haven’t done in 40 years. My family has noticed that I can move faster and I will be ready to cut the firewood I burn in the winter at my farmhouse.

I would recommend anyone to go to Teays Physical Therapy Center.  They truly care about you.

“TPTC has a very professional staff which truly enhanced my outcome, my quality of life, and my personal self-worth.”

I am a heart transplant patient and had a right total knee replacement May 13, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic by Dr. Bloomfield. I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center because of its great reputation for providing quality care in the Teays Valley area.

TPTC has a very professional staff which truly enhanced my outcome, my quality of life, and my personal self-worth. I entered the facility on a walker and each step was a challenge, both physically and mentally. My treatment consisted of exercises and techniques to increase my flexibility and strength. My personal goal was to return to practicing Yoga – a 15 year passion.

I finished physical therapy having achieved my goal of returning to Yoga with some temporary limitations. I believe this was possible with not only the technical and professional support, but also emotional support from my therapist – Todd Warner.

“Upon leaving on my last day, I was 95 % pain-free and had obtained full motion and strength.”

I tore my right anterior cruciate ligament, lateral meniscus, and  medial meniscus while playing basketball. I had subsequent surgery by Dr. Jasko at Marshall Orthopedics in Huntington and he recommended Teays Physical Therapy Center for rehabilitation of this serious injury. I participated in therapy at TPTC from March 2016 until September 2016.

Upon leaving on my last day, I was 95 % pain-free and had obtained full motion and strength. I was able to jog and was working out again. It was a great experience. The staff was always friendly and helpful and made sure I had everything I needed during therapy.

TPTC is a great place to go to – the staff was very attentive to me and pushed me to achieve a smooth and  outstanding recovery.

“Todd Warner, Certified Hand Therapist, has worked wonders in reducing my pain and improving my strength and movement.”

I came to Teays Physical Therapy Center after I sustained a right displaced transverse ulna fracture which resulted in a lot of pain and very little wrist movement. Dr. Cox was my orthopedic surgeon. I decided to go to TPTC for my rehab after hearing good things from a previous patient.

At TPTC everyone is very caring and friendly.  Todd Warner, Certified Hand Therapist, has worked wonders in reducing my pain and improving my strength and movement. I am extremely grateful for his determination to get me back to normal.  He’s amazing!

It’s a very friendly environment with individuals who actually care about your progress. I would recommend TPTC to everyone.

“I have returned to walking for exercise without significant knee pain, and am continuing the fitness program there to maintain my gains.”

My orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Adkins, referred me to physical therapy when my knee replacements began giving me trouble and hurting several years later. I had previous experiences at TPTC in St. Albans, so I chose to go back there for my therapy based on these past treatments.

After 2 months of therapy, I have returned to walking for exercise without significant knee pain, and am continuing the fitness program there to maintain my gains.  The care at TPTC is top of the line!

“You could not find a more caring and hard-working group of people that are willing to help you get back to a productive life!”

I was referred to physical therapy after my total knee replacement by Dr. Neginhal. I chose Teays PT Center in St. Albans because it is close to home, and I had friends who had physical therapy there.

Though the therapy has been rough at times, the staff has worked hard to get me through and make sure that I progressed to become stronger. This has been a wonderful group of people to work with.

You could not find a more caring and hard-working group of people that are willing to help you get back to a productive life!

“From a previous experience and an excellent reputation in the community, Teays Physical Therapy Center was my only choice.”

I underwent a rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder by Dr. Tao. After surgery I knew exactly where I would attend therapy. From a previous experience and an excellent reputation in the community, Teays Physical Therapy Center was my only choice. On each occasion I have received excellent care.

During my rehabilitation my questions were always answered allowing me to understand each phase of rehab following a rotator cuff repair. Christin adapted my program to challenge me so that I could meet my goals. I was encouraged each step of the way and the staff never gave up on me. TPTC got me to where I want to be and I couldn’t be happier.

I would tell my family and friends if they want to get better don’t go anywhere else. Teays Physical Therapy Center is a first class professional facility.

“TPTC’s staff made me feel welcome and they provided the encouragement I needed to get back on my feet and feel like an athlete again.”

In early 2016 I broke my left hip while playing indoor soccer due to a congenital bone cyst that developed in my femur. The accident required surgery to stabilize my femur and I was unable to walk for many weeks. My doctor told me that my injury would require up to a year of physical therapy, and that I may not be able to return to playing soccer for Poca High School. Dr. Maurer recommended I choose TPTC for my physical therapy.

I had an excellent experience while at TPTC and I always looked forward to therapy after school. TPTC’s staff made me feel welcome and they provided the encouragement I needed to get back on my feet and feel like an athlete again. My physical therapist, Marcus Reynolds, laid out a rehabilitation plan that allowed me to be released from physical therapy in just 6 months. I’m looking forward to competing in soccer this coming fall and couldn’t be happier with the progress I made.

I would completely recommend TPTC to anyone who needed therapy due to my excellent experience and recovery.

Jazmin Gordon

“The staff care about each patient and work hard to make sure you meet your goals. Your success is their success.”

After having the anterior cruciate ligament in my knee reconstructed by Dr. Soulsby, I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center for my rehabilitation because they were close to my home in St. Albans, and also because they had been given great reviews.

During my recovery at TPTC, I had an overall great experience. The staff care about each patient and work hard to make sure you meet your goals.  Your success is their success. TPTC has a great staff that makes the journey to recovery easy and fun.

I would highly recommend getting therapy here. They tend to all ages and all injuries. If you’re looking for a supportive staff and a good time you need to come to TPTC.

Barbara Fletcher

“My experience is always wonderful. Everyone is so helpful.”

A knee replacement by Dr. Molina is the health issue that required therapy this go around.  I have actually been going to TPTC in ST Albans for about 18 years both as a patient and as a fitness member.  My family doctor first recommended TPTC to me.

My experience is always wonderful. Everyone is so helpful. They fix your problem no matter what it is.  They have taken care of my hand, neck, and knee.

I tell everyone that needs therapy to come to Teays Physical Therapy. They treat everyone like family and take pride in their work!

Jeff Hardy

“Upon initiating therapy, I was very anxious that I would not regain my strength and flexibility in a timely manner. The friendly and upbeat staff made me feel comfortable and at ease.”

I injured my ankle during a martial arts tournament.  My doctor and I were concerned that I would need surgery, but decided to try therapy before visiting a surgeon. I looked into where to go and TPTC was highly recommended by both Health Care Professionals and people who had previously been treated at the center.

My experience was overwhelmingly positive. Upon initiating therapy, I was very anxious that I would not regain my strength and flexibility in a timely manner.  The friendly and upbeat staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. My therapist, Todd Warner, and PTA, Promise Sigman, clearly understood my injury and prescribed the appropriate therapy and progressions for strength and flexibility. Re-evaluations were frequently performed to insure my ankle was improving.

I have already recommended TPTC to friends and family.  They were able to easily put together a plan that worked with my busy schedule and allowed me to improve at the fastest pace possible. Thanks to the dedicated staff, I am now able to compete and test for my First Degree Blackbelt as scheduled this summer.

Morgan Duty

“TPTC provided a great environment making me feel cared for as a whole person and not just my knee injury. The positive atmosphere here makes any recovery easier.”

I injured my knee in January 10, 2016 while practicing with my dance competition troupe. My family doctor referred me to physical therapy. I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center because it came highly recommended.
During the first visit Christin realized my knee injury was more involved and immediately contacted Marshall Orthopedics. Within 2 weeks I underwent a right knee meniscal repair by Dr. Charles Giangarra. Following surgery I returned to TPTC for therapy.

During my rehabilitation TPTC provided a great environment making me feel cared for as a whole person and not just my knee injury. The positive atmosphere here makes any recovery easier. My number one goal was to return to dancing.  Christin challenged me at the same time making physical therapy fun.
Teays Physical Therapy Center made what could have been a grueling few months into a positive journey.  I have achieved my goal of returning to the Kelle Boggs Competition Troupe and Winfield High School Dance Team.

John McCallister

“My experience at TPTC was nothing but outstanding from the first day to the last.”

I went over an embankment onto concrete on my riding lawn mower. The mower landed on my hand and arm. I had multiple fractures that required plates, screws, and pins for repair.

Dr. Adam Dann with Scott Orthopedic advised I see Rebecca O’Dell for my therapy.  Rebecca was truly a professional and extremely knowledgeable. My experience at TPTC was nothing but outstanding from the first day to the last, for a total of 15 weeks. This organization was professional, courteous, friendly, helpful, and considered the customer as the most important thing for success.

I would strongly recommend TPTC to all of my friends and family. They work as a family and you are treated as one. Outstanding.

Patricia Morris

“Because of their leadership and guidance, my rehabilitation has been successful.”

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in December 2014.  I had fractured my pelvis in several locations.  I was non-weight bearing for the first few months using a wheelchair.  Dr. Aaron Sop was my surgeon.  By the grace of God, I am alive.

I started physical therapy in March 2015 with Colby Mozingo, PT, DPT.  The staff at Teays Physical Therapy Center has always been professional, informative, and made me feel like I could do anything.  Because of their leadership and guidance, my rehabilitation has been successful.  I am hoping to return to employment, driving my school bus soon.

From the staff at the front desk to the therapists, everyone was kind, supporting, encouraging, and wonderful.  They will always be very special to me.

Virginia Sisson

“The surgery and the therapy I received has improved my overall quality of life and now I am able to enjoy the things I used to do.”

Following many months of increasing knee pain and disability, I decided to have a total knee replacement on January 13, 2015. I choose Vivek Neginhal to be my surgeon. Following surgery, I started therapy using a walker. In a very short time I was using a cane and then walking on my own. The surgery and the therapy I received has improved my overall quality of life and now I am able to enjoy the things I used to do.

I would recommend this facility for any type of physical therapy. The progress I made after my surgery was amazing. The equipment, the experienced staff, and the healing environment all came together for a great patient recovery.

Taylor Coalter

“I would tell my friends and family that TPTC is the place for them for rehab.”

I injured my knee in a soccer game on October 21st, 2014. Dr. Charles Giangarra reconstructed my ACL and repaired my meniscus with surgery. I first choose Teays Physical Therapy Center as my physical therapy provider because it was close to my home. Christin Knell was my physical therapist.

TPTC is a very clean and organized facility. All the staff members are friendly and want to help their patients get back to their “original self.” I plan to go to Ohio State next fall and would like to participate on the crew team and in intramural sports.

I would tell my friends and family that TPTC is the place for them for rehab. The therapists want to see you improve and give you all the attention that is needed.

Rachel Estep

“I tell family, friends, teammates, and co-workers who ask (and even ones who don’t) TPTC is the place to go for their therapy needs.”

I had an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of my left knee by Dr. Paul Legg after injuring it playing roller derby.  Following surgery, I choose Teays Physical Therapy Center as my rehabilitation provider because of its convenient location and their reputation after speaking with others who had therapy there.

After surgery I was unable to lift or bend my leg.  The therapists at TPTC got me back on my feet and hopefully I will be back on the track soon.  My experience there has been amazing.  My friends and family all know how awesome my experience has been.  I tell family, friends, teammates, and co-workers who ask (and even ones who don’t) TPTC is the place to go for their therapy needs.

“Cindy and her staff took me by the hand and did not let go. They worked hours with me and I saw progress immediately.”

I was involved in an automobile accident on September 3rd, 2014 which resulted in severe back pain.  After being unable to do much for four months I was referred to physical therapy and I choose TPTC.  I came to therapy hardly walking.  Cindy and her staff took me by the hand and did not let go.  They worked hours with me and I saw progress immediately.  The therapists pushed me to meet my goals, however, did not require me to do more than I felt I could do.

Regarding my experience I would say to my friends or family members, “This is the only place to be.”  They take you in and make you feel like family.  They love their job and they love to see you walk out with your head held high and reaching your goals.  I have never felt better in my life.

“TPTC is a wonderful place to get your life back together as soon as possible following surgery.”

One year ago my family doctor, Elizabeth Brown, referred me to Teays Physical Therapy Center in St. Albans to strengthen my left leg.  My knee pain worsened in the summer of 2014 and I was referred to Dr. Clark Adkins.  He recommended a total knee replacement.  I had surgery on October 22nd.  Since my previous experience with TPTC was wonderful I returned there following my knee replacement.

During therapy I was given the appropriate amount of encouragement and was taught every step of the way so my recovery was quick.  The therapy I received was professional and extremely caring.  All of the staff were friendly.  TPTC is a wonderful place to get your life back together as soon as possible following surgery.  I definitely encourage others to use TPTC for their rehabilitation.

"I had therapy at TPTC after my ankle surgery and I knew I wanted to return there for my shoulder rehabilitation."

I injured my shoulder in a fall following ankle surgery.  An MRI revealed a torn labrum, rotator cuff tear, and necrosis of the humeral head. These injuries required a total shoulder replacement.  I had therapy at TPTC after my ankle surgery and I knew I wanted to return there for my shoulder rehabilitation.  I started in therapy one week post-op. With hard work and encouragement from my therapist, Rebecca O’Dell, my range of motion consistently improved. After three months I was referred to TPTC for work conditioning with Doug James and Herm Hundley to improve my strength and endurance.

The staff at TPTC is always professional, friendly, caring, and kind. I can’t imagine a better facility in which to seek care. If needed again in the future, there’s no doubt I would go to TPTC.

“I am treated like family and would highly recommend this facility for someone in need of rehabilitation.”

I had a motorcycle accident on May 7, 2014. I suffered multiple fractures of both lower extremities, ribs, and clavicle that required ten surgeries and hospitalization for 2 ½ months. I choose TPTC for my rehabilitation based on my previous experience as a patient, and their reputation.

When I arrived at TPTC, I was walking with a walker and unable to put weight on my leg or drive. I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to return to work at my job at Toyota. Since then I have regained the ability to walk and I have returned to work at Toyota where I am a Team Leader. I have been able to walk a mile and I have returned to riding my motorcycle.

This is my third time as a patient at TPTC and I have always had a successful outcome. I am treated like family and would highly recommend this facility for someone in need of rehabilitation.

"Many of my friends and neighbors spoke very highly of the professionalism of the entire staff at TPC and I totally agree with their observations."

During the summer, I received a total hip arthroplasty by Dr. Ali Oliashirazi at Cabell Huntington Joint Replacement Center. Shortly after the surgery, I began my post-operative rehabilitation at TPTC with Cindy. Being an avid outdoorsmen, my goal was to complete the rehab process and be able to participate in the WV fall hunting season. During the seventh week of rehab, I was hiking in Pocahontas County, WV and was able to navigate the lower hills without any difficulty.

The rehab exercise plan that Cindy recommended for me is working great and my goal was met. I’m a firm believer that the benefit you gain from exercise/rehab is in direct proportion to the effort that you put forward. All of the therapists at TPTC are always willing to give encouragement and instruction on how to perform the exercises correctly. Many of my friends and neighbors spoke very highly of the professionalism of the entire staff at TPTC and I totally agree with their observations. This organization runs like a “well-oiled machine.”

"I was always treated promptly and politely. All the assistants were so kind. I have already recommended TPTC to my friends."

Pain started in my left shoulder approximately two years ago. I found out I had a rotator cuff tear and had surgery on March 5, 2014 by Dr. David Soulsby. Previously, I had a hip replacement and had therapy at TPTC. Following my shoulder surgery, I wanted to return there for my rehab.

Rebecca, my therapist, was tremendous. She was gentle but very firm in helping my shoulder to recover. I was always treated promptly and politely. All the assistants were so kind. I have already recommended TPTC to my friends. I am continuing to work out as a fitness member at TPTC.

"With guidance in exercises for what to do, how much and when, my shoulder was healed and strong enough for my trip. It was a great experience."

I had torn my rotator cuff that required surgery. I was in physical therapy from January through May 2014. I chose TPTC because of my previous good experience there.

Following my surgery I had an aggressive goal and timeline for my recovery. I was preparing to paddle the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon in June 2014. Rebecca O'Dell and other staff members at TPTC worked with my schedule to meet that goal. With guidance in exercises for what to do, how much and when, my shoulder was healed and strong enough for my trip. It was a great experience.

The professionals at TPTC are just that: professional. The facility is nice, clean, and well outfitted and the staff is wonderful.

"My experience at TPTC has been amazing. My doctor said that physical therapy would be the key to getting me back into working condition. I have now been approved to return to work."

On October 4, 2013 I was performing with Disney Live in the Philippine Islands. When I jumped and landed on my left foot, my knee popped and I tore my meniscus.  I was unable to work the following day.  I was transferred back to the United States where Dr. Clark Adkins performed surgery on November 8th.

Following surgery I became a patient of Teays Physical Therapy Center based on the recommendations of friends and family.  My experience at TPTC has been amazing.  My doctor said that physical therapy would be the key to getting me back into working condition.  I have now been approved to return to work.  It would not have been possible without the dedication of the therapist to see improvement.  I will be leaving on December 22nd for my next assignment in Australia.  Maintaining a positive attitude truly helped me during my rehab at TPTC.

“The entire staff was kind and knowledgeable. Even though I was not always the best patient; they had patience working with me. ”

I am an avid cyclist. On September 25, 2012 I had a significant bicycle wreck in which I severely separated my right shoulder. I went to the emergency room but needed to see an orthopedic surgeon for a consultation. I saw Dr. Stanly Tao, at Scott Orthopedic Center, who reconstructed my AC joint on October 19, 2012. I was soon referred to Teays Physical Therapy Center by recommendation of Dr. Tao. I know Cindy from church and worked with her throughout my rehabilitation. On my first day of therapy my shoulder range of motion was poor but through systematic exercises I was able to increase my range of motion to 95% of normal.

My physical therapy experience was very rewarding. The staff helped me understand the reason why they were having me do each exercise. The entire staff was kind and knowledgeable. Even though I was not always the best patient; they had patience working with me.

I am looking forward to being back on my road bike in the near future. Thanks TPTC.

"TPTC has the most wonderful staff that I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend anyone needing therapy to TPTC for a wonderful, professional, healing experience."

I had right shoulder pain for 4 to 5 months with tingling in my index finger and thumb. My family doctor ordered an MRI which showed that I had bone spurs in my neck. He referred me for an evaluation with Dr. Matt Walker. After the evaluation, Dr. Walker then sent me to physical therapy for treatment. Since I had been a patient at Teays Physical Therapy Center before I chose to have my treatment there.

My therapist, Rebecca O’Dell, has helped me tremendously with my neck and arm through her guidance in exercise and using traction. I have had a great experience here. From the time I entered the door the receptionists were smiling and greeting you by name.

TPTC has the most wonderful staff that I have ever encountered.  I would highly recommend anyone needing therapy to TPTC for a wonderful, professional, healing experience.

"There aren't enough words to describe the excellent care I received at Teays Physical Therapy Center."

I chose Teays Physical Therapy Center because I was not completely satisfied with the care I had received at another physical therapy facility. I had low back pain and was losing mobility. I heard good things about Teays Physical Therapy Center and asked my doctor to refer me there for therapy.

There aren't enough words to describe the excellent care I received at Teays Physical Therapy Center. Cindy and her staff are very professional and care about you and your road to recovery. I was in pain with limited mobility on my initial visit to TPTC and after my therapy treatments; I am no longer in constant pain and have regained my mobility. I am now enrolled in their fitness program and look forward to going every day.

I would recommend Teays Physical Therapy Center to all my friends and family. The staff is very friendly and is willing to assist with your every need. They are family oriented and make you feel like you are part of their family. They just can't be beat.

"I am grateful for the gift of health TPTC has given back to me, including my ability to walk again."

In July 2011, a sudden fall and a trip to the emergency room revealed a giant cell tumor that had been growing in my femur and caused a fracture.  The tumor was removed by Dr. Felix Cheung at Cabell Huntington Hospital. In its place a large bone graft and metal plate was secured to my femur with seven screws. A few months later I required a second procedure to increase flexibility and decrease scar tissue. Prior to coming to Teays Physical Therapy Center I received home therapy. I choose TPTC after it was highly recommend by my home health agency.

My experience at TPTC has been very rewarding. I knew I had a long road of recovery ahead. My therapist, Christin Knell, never made that road seem unreachable. With her positive attitude and her consistent motivation, she gave me the tools necessary to improve every day. Christin and the staff were always there with an encouraging word to achieve the next milestone in therapy. They created a warm and inviting atmosphere, always giving guidance with a smile. I am grateful for the gift of health TPTC has given back to me, including my ability to walk again.

I plan to share my experience with my friends and family because I would trust their health in the hands of the staff at this facility. Not only did I walk away a stronger person physically and mentally but I have made unforgettable memories and new friends.

"I would not just refer my friends and family to TPTC, I would insist that they go there whenever they need any type of therapy."

Choosing TPTC was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. Their professional reputation and visibility throughout the community indicates they are a business that not only cares about their patients, but also strives to be a leader in helping everyone lead a healthy lifestyle.

My experience as a patient could not have been better. Thanks to Cindy’s careful diagnosis and comprehensive treatment I felt immediate relief and results. And as important as that was, her ability to educate me on exactly how the injury occurred and how it could be prevented from happening again has been even more meaningful. The facility and staff were so welcoming that I made TPTC part of my daily routine by becoming a fitness client. I am stronger and more flexible than I have ever been, and I feel GREAT!

I would not just refer my friends and family to TPTC, I would insist that they go there whenever they need any type of therapy.

"The therapists at TPTC made helping me regain as much of my former lifestyle as possible their top priority."

I have osteoporosis. This resulted in me having a fractured leg in 2006 and back surgery in 2010 with ongoing leg problems. I chose TPTC as my physical therapy provider because of word of mouth recommendations by people that I knew had achieved good success with their treatment.

My experience at TPTC has been positive in pleasant surroundings by professional, friendly and caring staff. The therapists at TPTC made helping me regain as much of my former lifestyle as possible their top priority.

They are a caring and compassionate group with a positive attitude. They treat each of their patients with kindness, integrity and respect regardless of their background or condition.
