Pannell Awarded Gamer of the Week Honors

Teays Physical Therapy Center, Inc. and The Putnam Herald are pleased to present this week’s Female Gamer of the Week to Sophomore, NuNu Pannell of the St. Albans High School basketball team.

St. Albans point guard/shooting guard #5, NuNu Pannell is having a good Sophomore season. Pannell is averaging 10 points per game, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. “She is playing extremely well right now” Head Coach Ricky Steele.

Pannell found her love of the game after watching her big brother Lamonte play AAU basketball with her sister when she was younger and has been playing since elementary school. What Pannell enjoys most about the game is making new friends and getting to see them regularly. “Basketball teaches you about being a good team player and it’s a fast-paced game that’s exciting and full of energy”. Nunu and her team's goal this year is to make it to the Civic Center. “We have just stuck together this whole season and trusting in each other, we believe we can make it to the Civic Center”. Pannell’s plans after high school include continuing her career in basketball and pursuing a degree in nursing.

Please look for other local high school athletes to be named in next week’s female Gamer of the Week Sponsored by Teays Physical Therapy Center, Inc., and The Putnam Herald.
